These prices can’t be beat for a quality K2 ski. Choose from the Force, Interceptor, Raider, Ranger and Sweet Luv, all with the IBC 10.0. Just a quick example of how much you can save with this sale, look at the Interceptor. The regular price for that ski is $1000 and we’ve marked it down to $499. It is available in lengths of 170 & 177. The Ranger is another good example. It is available in lengths of 156 – 177 and the regular price for that ski is $765 and is now on sale for $399! The Sweet Luv and Force are both on sale for $349 and the Sweet Luv goes as short as 142 if you’re looking for something on the shorter end of things. Incredible Snow in WV
January 6th, 2010For those of you who do not have the privilege of spending winter in the Mountain State of West Viginia, you really can’t comprehend all that you miss. The drive into work this morning was nothing short of amazing. With 5-6 inches of new snow this morning, there is not a more beautiful place to be found. The trees are hanging heavy with snow, new snow continues to fall and it truly is a winter wonderland. The state road crews do a terrific job of keeping the roads clear. The ski resorts in the state are loving the cold temps and new snowfall that has been happening on a daily basis. Snowshoe Mountain has received 84″ of snow so far this season! The skiing and riding conditions are amazing at all the resorts in the state: Winterplace, Canaan Valley, Timberline and Snowshoe/Silver Creek. If you get a chance, take a road trip and check out the marvelous Mountain State in the midst of winter. Stay at any of the resort areas or a quaint little Bed & Breakfast and enjoy for a few days what we get to experience every day! You won’t be sorry!

Thanksgiving
November 25th, 2009As Thanksgiving draws near, our minds are rushing toward the fact that ski season is almost upon us. While we anxiously await the next new snowfall (yes, we’ve had a minimal amount of snow so far, but it’s still exciting), we plan ahead and imagine that first run down the slope.
At the same time, we also think about all the people who make our lives special and how thankful we are for them. Here at The Ski Barn & SnowCreek Mountain Sports, we are especially thankful for our fellow staff members, our customers, our product vendors and sales people. Without each and every one of you, The Ski Barn would not be the quality business it is today. Your dedication, committment and loyalty are appreciated and we are truly thankful for each of you. Here’s looking forward to another great ski season spent with friends both old and new.
Sorel Boots
November 16th, 2009In case you are not familiar with Sorel boots, they are definitely something you should investigate. The Ski Barn and SnowCreek Mountain Sports are carrying Sorel for the first time this year and the first shipment of boots is newly in. They are amazingly attractive and have what feels like an exceptionally warm liner. The styles for ladies include the Pac boot with a removable ThermoPlus inner boot and rated to -25F, and the Caribou boot which is waterproof and rated to -40F also with the removable inner boot. For men, the Pac T boot will surely fit the need with waterproofing and rated to -40F. From the men’s boot to the ladies’ boots you’re sure to find a pair calling your name.
Think Snow
November 3rd, 2009As the final leaves fall from the trees and the air gains an increasingly cold bite, our thoughts change from vacations at the beach with warmth and sun to a snowy, crisp morning with endless turns down perfectly manicured slopes. This is a particularly exciting time of year when a new season is on the horizon and there is a sense of anticipation that the best is yet to come.
